the 2nd version of the story- THE BLUE BOTTLE...

now, this is the second version of the story, THE FAIRY TALE VERSION...

THE BLUE BOTTLE

One night, Millie was up late reading in bed. She finished the book she was reading (The Story of Ferdinand) and looked over to her shelves to see what else she might read before she went to bed. Right there on her shelf was something she had never seen before. It was a blue bottle. She looked down into the bottle, but it was too dark inside to see anything. So she shook it. She heard a rattling sound. There was something inside! She turned the bottle upside down and shook it again, to see if anything would fall out. Something almost fell out and then it didn't. Whatever was inside was now stuck in the bottle's neck. Millie shook harder and harder. Finally, something small fell onto the floor. It was a crystal ball. An extremely shiny, exceptionally beautiful and extraordinarily brilliant. It emitted a light blue luminescence. She tries to grab the crystal ball but the ball starts rolling. Millie tries to grab it again but the ball, rolling at a fairly fast pace falls into a pit. She had even never noticed the pit before. She gets scared and thinks of abandoning her mission of grabbing the ball. But, then she reflects about her miserable life. She recalls the extremely bad treatment that she gets from her step mother. How she has been deprived from whatever she loved and liked. So she gets determined to follow the ball & get it. She thinks that if she dies she will meet her dead mother who loved her a lot. Tears rolled out of her eyes as she recalled the love and affection that her mother bestowed on her & she jumped into the pit. To her surprise, the pit leaded to an extremely beautiful path. A brick path with flower beds sowed on the pavements and clean surroundings. She starts searching for the crystal ball. As she moves forward she notices that the path is full of green grass with rows of flowers. Huge trees bearing mouth watering fruits. As she moves a few meters further, she enters into a new world altogether. A dreamland with green fruit laden trees, beautiful rivers, blue sky & birds chirping over her head. She gets bedazzled by this view.

She finds the crystal ball & grabs it. Suddenly everything around her changes the clean blue sky over her head transforms into an extremely black scary cloud laden one. The trees that were green dry out. The beautiful birds and animals vanished. Vultures & jackals appear instead. She gets scared and starts to cry. She turns back to run away. But as she turns back she hears a scary voice of a woman who says, “You can only escape from here at the cost of somebody’s blood. You will have to tell me the name of the person you hate most and I will kill that person and have his / her blood. If you will not do so than I will have killed you.”

Millie gets dumb. The voice shouts again, “Tell me the name of the person you hate most”, Out of instinct she tells the voice – “Ema” which is her step mother’s name. The voice says “I want to see why you hate her”, and all of a sudden a window opens in the trunk of one of the dried out trees. And all the instances of cruelty and ill treatments that her step mother EMA had done to her flash in it. The voice says, “This is good you will escape your death now and will even get rid of the person who gives you a lot of trouble and whom you hate so much & I shall also have my share of blood by killing her.”

To this Millie replies “please madam don’t kill my step mother” and she starts crying. The voice asks- “why do you want to put your life at stake for somebody who does not even treats you like a human beung.” She says “she is a very good woman. It is true that she shouts at me and beats me but she is the woman who takes care of her two little sons and also looks after my father. My father also likes her & I love my father. If she dies then who will look after her two little kids and also my father will loose the woman he has started to love now after my mother died.”

The voice starts shouting again – “Okay, I can leave her if you want but then I will have to kill you instead”. To this the girl replied “you can kill me if you want because no one cares for me & nobody will repent my death. And if I die I will get to meet my real mother up there in heaven. My real mother, who used to love me a lot, and I am sure she also misses me” Tears rolled out of her eyes again. “Kill me – kill me” she said crying.

Suddenly, the entire surroundings changed again & everything became even more beautiful and soothing than before. But, the girl continues to cry. An affectionate voice of a female calls her and asks her to stop crying. She looks up and finds a beautiful fairy, with wings, standing in front of her. The fairy hugs her and says “don’t cry, of all human beings, god loves you the most all and he wants you to work for him and become his fairy messenger. This is why he wanted to test you and your kindness. You have passed your test by putting your life at stake to save your step mother who has been so unkind to you.” Millie replies “I can’t do this as my step mother will beat me a lot if she will not find me in the house tomorrow morning.” The fairy starts laughing and says, “I have changed your step mother’s heart, she will start loving you from now on. And you will be there in the house the whole day. Only in the night you will go out & help the children who are unhappy and are suffering. You will make them happy. God cannot go everywhere by himself so he chooses people who will do his work by following his path and he has chosen you.” She agrees to do so. The fairy says that the moment you will put the crystal ball in your mouth you will be transformed into a fairy. Then you can go and carry on God’s work.

The fairy says this and disappears but she hears her voice again which says “your mother wants to meet you” & she sees her mother standing in front of her. She hugs her mother & starts crying. Her mother said “you are the chosen one. Work for others & spread happiness. You don’t know how soothing & relieving it is to make other’s happy. And always remember that I am with you.” Her mother says this and disappears. Then everything returns back to normal.

She wakes up next morning thinking that she had seen a dream. She finds that it’s already 11’O clock in the morning. She gets terrified at the thought of it. She was supposed to clean the house and wash the clothes by 12’O clock. She runs out of her room only to get surprised at the site of her step mother washing clothes. She runs to her & says “I m sorry mother, please don’t beat me. I don’t know how I continued to sleep and was not able to get up on time. Please give me two hours more & I will finish off all the work.”

But her mother smiles back & says, “why do you need to work when I am there. Go take bath and eat some food you must be hungry sweet heart.” She gets astonished, but suddenly remembers what all happened in the night. She runs back to her room and starts searching for the crystal ball. She finds it under her pillow. She waited for the night to come and then puts the crystal ball into her mouth. To her surprise she really gets transformed into a beautiful fairy with long white wings. She went out that night and distributed sweets, foods & toys to the hungry, poor, underprivileged, and orphan children. She felt a immense happiness and contentment by doing so. When she came back home that night she got the soundest and most refreshing sleep of her life.

From that day onwards, she continued to live a normal life in the morning & helped the needy children and even adults in the night by getting transformed into a fairy. She even got to talk to her real mother at times. Her step mother, her two younger brothers and her father had also started loving her now and thus, her life had become as beautiful as heaven.

my first story...THE BLUE BOTTLE...

writing after a long time...
was busy with life n so got no time to write, n when time was at disposal i had no system.
so, was just a long wait for the ideal unification of time n machine...
finally, the wait got over today...

m going to post a story written by me...
d very first story by me...
i have two versions of it...
the one i m posting today is the shorter version while the other one is a fairy tale version of it...

will publish that as well...
but till then read this n enjoy...
aur haan, do let me know that how you liked or disliked the story...

the story is named as...

It was a piece of paper. On opening the paper she found that it had some lines written in her own writing...the paper read as- i want to travel around the world and let people know the beauty of nature through my writings about my traveling experiences. But she had long forgotten the dream in the fast pace with which she was chasing life. A strong feeling of nostalgia and emptiness engulfed her and she started to think that what she had lost in achieving all that she has.

She tries to think apart from the letter that she found but is unable to do so. The next morning she takes a decision and goes to her office. She submits her resignation letter there and leaves the office after settling all her dues. In a matter of few days she starts off for the journey of her life. She starts traveling round the world and keeps writing down about her traveling experiences. In less than a years time she has enough content to get her first book of her traveling experiences published.

She got her book published and today she is standing with a copy of her book in her hand. She is a happy and content person now and her life’s dream had come true. She is even richer than ever before as she gets huge money from the sale of her book. Her dream and interest had fetched her far more money, name, fame and content than she could ever have been able to earn.

So, always follow your interest and dream. It might not give you as much money as some other more lucrative work may. But, no other work on this earth can make you as happy and content as this can. Never deviate from following your dream for not everybody is as lucky as Millie who got a reminder.

ab agar raat 1 baje koi aapko fone kark dosti yaari sabka waasta de aur 15 km door bulaye, wo bhi apne birthday se 5 din pehle hi apna birthday celebrate karne k liye, to aap isko kya kahenge...

ab mere liye to bawaal is liye tha k i do not have a bike, phir khana bhi kha liya tha, aur ninni raani bhi aa rahi thi.....
par......dosti, yaari, bhaai-chaare ka, sabhi ka usi din imtehaan tha....to jaana to zaruri tha...

ab finally, i went on with one of my friends........

ab buri kismat yahin pe khatm nahi ho gayi...
both of us did'nt know the raasta...

we had to go to mini punjab, pune....jo hinjewaadi k paas hai...

par station k aage gaye to wahan se mumbai highway ki taraf jaane lage...
hum bhi jab mumbai jaate hain to raste me parihaar chowk padta hai, ye soch k usi raaste par chalte gaye aur mumbai hi pahuchne waale the....
finally we realised k this is the wrong way, aur we took a U-turn...phir, another 40 min. ride aur finally, we reached mini punjab....

wahan pe chaar naalayak baithe the aur hum dono bhi wahan pahuch gaye...

barbaad gulistaan karne ko bas ek hi ullu kaafi tha, har shaakh pe ullu baitha hai, anjaame gulista kya hoga...

baithe hain...saare...matlab- aashish, manoj, kashish, main, aur ansh, and d b'day boy himanshu...with his cook, arey uski problem hai na...he just can't think straight....

to ab....bas baithe hain...

mocktail order kiya, aur paneer macca cutlet.....baaki log drink kar rahe the....
and wo ansh he was desperate to drink milk....ab think doodh, aur wo bhi in a bar-cum-restaurant.....

doodh bhi mila...matlab k aakhir mein those restaurant guys had to arrange for the milk...

main, ansh, aur manoj teeno batein kar rahe hain...
aur kashish, aashish, himanshu aur uska cook drink kar rahe the...

baithe hain...baatein ho rahi hain...time pass chal raha hai...

aur raat ho gayi, 3 baj gaye...phir yaad aaya k subah presentation deni hai...
par fikar ksiko hai...
nautanki chaalu hai sabki...

na khana order hua tha na kuch...bas daaru aur kuch nahi...hum to baithe the baatein ho rahi thi....aur kuch nahi...

maine aur kashish ne milkar aashish ki ladaayi kara di uske cook se..mazaa aaya...

5:30 am and we leave that place...

driving seat pe aashish, uske bagal me hum, kashish, manoj aur himanshu ka cook peeche baithe hain...
ansh and himanshu bike pe the...

aashish ko chadhi thi aur sabki jaan nikal rahi thi k kaise chalaakar waapas le jaayega ye...

raaste me usne thoda sa gaadi tedhi-medhi chalaani shuru kar di, mera matlab hai masti me, aur peeche waalon ki jaan nikal gayi...

finally, we reached back home safely...

ghar pahuch kar soch rahe the k presentation ka kya karna hai...

phir sochna shuru kia k presentation to chodo, kal class ka kya hoga...

attend kar paayenge ya nahi...

we went to bed at 7 in the morning....

the tedious birthday celebration finally came to an end...

BUT ALL SAID AND DONE....THESE ARE THE DAYS JO HAMESHA YAAD AAYENGE...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR......

now this is the poem that i wrote for her a long time ago...in-fact, this was the first poem that i had written for her...

and the poem goes like this....

my life earlier was worthless and had a number of twists and turns,
for i was irrational and had no concerns....

but it all changed when i met you,
life became beautiful and i got a clue...

this clue told me that i have the potential,
i just need to persevere hard and will surely gain whatever is essential....

i get a surge of energy when i am with you,
a single thought of loosing you and i get blue...

i gain my inspirations only from you,
so, you just be with me and miracles i will do...

no matter what comes, i do not care,
with you on my side, i have the courage to dare...

you understand me and like a book you can read,
you just keep on doing that and i will surely succeed...

from all these facts, only a single thing comes as an essence,
that my life has become heaven JUST BY YOUR PRESENCE...

THE INDO-CHINA CONFLICT

well.....i know that i am not the right person to comment on an issue like this...mera matlab hai, k i am not upto-date with all the statistics, but as i have told you all that this blog is a place where i share my personal feelings with you all...

coming back to the topic, a few days ago, there were news about chinese intrusions in India...and this was even confirmed by the indian military....they said that they would take this matter with the chinese army...the government, on the other hand is downplaying the whole issue, for the sake of the new rounds of talks for resolving the the LAC issue, i.e. the issue of the Line of Actual Control.....

but, the thing is, how could you trust someone who has back-stabbed you in the past...?

china has backstabbed us in the past and is doing so even today...

on one hand they claim to be willing to resolve the boundary issue and on the other hand they give statements like- "The present time is not favorable for China to resolve the boundary issue in such a hurried way because the country is still rising globally and if the dispute is not properly addressed, the result will only be blamed by generations to come." in their official international newspaper Global Times......

the reality is that they do not want to address to this issue with india at this point of time as they know that the outcomes might not be favourable for them...

they have been intruding into indian territory, not only in arunanchal pradesh but also in several regions of ladakh...

there have even been instances when they send pastoral nomads into indian lands and if there is no action against this, as an objection, from the indian military, then they gradually acquire the land....this has happened not only in arunanchal pradesh but also in ladakh....

the latest Chinese military doctrine states that unresolved border disputes would be one reason for going to war and has identified China's south-west border as a potential theatre of war. In addition, there are also growing voices in China that goad the government to take a hard line towards India on the border issue. Keeping all this in mind, China is gradually strengthening its position along the borders, especially in Tibet, by constructing roads, railways, airports, telecommunication lines, etc. The Qinghai-Lhasa railway line, along with other military infrastructure projects, has provided China an edge over India in military terms.

seeing all this we, as a nation can never trust the intentions of the dragon nation....well, ironically, the dragon, as an animal itself, can never be trusted, as in, if you are standing in front of a dragon and the dragon is looking very friendly to you, still you never know that when it will exhale fire on you...ab, if you can never trust a dragon, then how can you trust the dragon nation...?

In response to the chinese preparations, India has also embarked upon a massive project of building roads and other infrastructure along its northern border...

we are doing our bit in response to the chinese preparations.....

BUT STILL, A LOT MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE ON OUR SIDE...TAAKI HUM "UNKI EENT A JAWAAB PATTHAR SE DE SAKEIN..."

                           " JAI HIND, JAI BHARAT..."

this one is for you my friend...just keep the spirit going, and you will surely win...

hhhhmmmmm........thought a lot about what to write, but was pre-occupied with the thoughts about one of my friends and his room-mates...they are all in a problem.....

i did my lot to console them but probably it was not enough for them...here i am writing a few words for them in this post to my blog...

hopefully, this will get them a little confidence...

this is a poem that i wrote way back in my third year of my graduation, i.e. in 2007.....

        it goes like this.....

difficulties are not to surrender to,
but they are meant to be won over to...

throwing difficulties in one's life is God's own way to test you,
he just watches that who fights back and who gets blue...

the ones who fight back taste the success,
and the ones who don't, become an excess...

never give up, however hard the situations might be,
just fight back with all your zeal, and coming out with flying colours....

                  YOU WOULD BE.......

my dearest friends, hope this poem will rejuvenate your thoughts and will fill your mind and soul with a positive energy so that you would be able to idenify your problems and solve them, without being carried away by them...

have faith and work hard...everything will be fine...

my best wishes and prayers are always with you all....

i hope all my readers will also get a little inspiration from this poem of mine...
even if one of my readers gets inspired, i would consider that this attempt of mine has been awarded for....

i want to________, if only i had time...

well, i know a lot many people who had always wanted to be a singer, journalist, or actor but are a manager, doctor or engineer. they say that these are careers and the others (i.e. singing, acting etc.) are vocations, which require a lot of time and effort to practice...not just this, i know people who also want to start writing a blog or reading one, but claim to have no time for it...now, what i feel is that its not time that is lacking, but it is the courage which is lacking...i have a friend who is a very good singer, and comes from a very small place, we studied together in graduation...he once gave his name for the inter-faculty singing competition, but when he went up upon the stage he was not able to sing the song audible enough for the judges to hear and was voted out, while i on the other hand, a bathroom singer, sang the song audible enough for each and everyone to listen and criticize...how can i forget the song, it was the English promotional song for DHOOM (the tata young one)...

people generally compromise with their lives and then start complaining about the lack of fun, lack of interest and the full fledged reign of monotony in their lives...

now, my simple question for these people is that- DO YOU EVER ENJOY DOING ANYTHING THAT YOU DON'I WANT TO DO...?

the answer is and always will be-a big NO...

unless u compromise and start generating interest, or if this is not possible, you start getting indifferent....

the moment you start doing this, you seize being yourself, you also join the mad race of earning money, and living in the illusion of being happy...

but even then, when at times, you sit in silence reflecting back on your life, you find something missing and start feeling an emptiness in your life...this thought will unrest you and you will again try to balance your thought process by giving arguments like- i own a four wheeler, or i have a house of my own, which is a dream for many others...but you know, somewhere deep in your heart, that you are lying to yourself...

the same possessions start giving a new feeling and meaning to your life, the very moment you start listening to your heart and start doing what you've always wanted to...an example for this can be the character of aditya (played by farhan akhtar) in rock on, he had so much in life....had a great job which reciprocated well to him in terms of money, had a lavish house and a beautiful wife who loved him a lot...but what he lacked in life was his ability to practice his passion...he went to the extent of deleting every single object that reminded him of his past...i.e. the days when he happily was what he wanted..., but still was not able to rest in peace....but the moment he re-organised his band, the MAGIC worked and he was a happy man....!!!!!!!!
strange, as it may sound, but it was possible because he was happy, content, and overwhelmed with joy, as he was finally pursuing his own path....the path which he left earlier, pretty much un-traversed...

another kind of people are the ones who are on their own path, i.e. the ones who are practicing their own passion, but are still at unrest....well, the reason for this, according to me is, that they are either being held back by someone whom they love the most and do not want to leave (as no one else can ever stop them), or are lacking courage to explore...now again i will give an example from the movie rock on...the character played by arjun rampal is an example...he did guitar playing, which was his passion, but was still unhappy, reason being, his wife stopped him from doing this as a full fledged occupation and he himself lacked the courage to go and explore...

this again proves that you don't ever lack time but it is the courage which is lacking...

the character of aditya (hope I've got the name right), played by shahid kapoor, in jab we met, is an example...he wanted to be a singer, but was forced to join business...and now was not satisfied, because he had no time for music, while the truth was that he lacked the courage to adjust things and put them in the right sequence....but later he realized this, and the result was, that he got time to play guitar and sing in the office, while on the other hand his business was exploring new horizons with every passing day...

even i was very much at unrest as i was not able to write any new poems or anything else, and was not able to start blogging, reason that i gave was the very same, lack of time, but suddenly, one fine day, i realized that it's not time but the courage that was lacking...and the very day i started my own blog...

so, this is my own life experience, that if you have the courage you can do whatever you want...

AFTER ALL EVERYONE HAS THE SAME 24 HOURS...

THEN WHAT IS IT THAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE...?

I GUESS...ITS THE COURAGE TO TRY AND PURSUE WHAT YOU'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO...

have a gr8 time
gud day

is this the real india-Y.M.I.

yesterday i watched the new movie- Y.M.I.-the much hyped movie that claimed to open the eyes of all Indians. was expecting a lot from the movie, but was dissappointed to the core of my heart. was expecting a better and more responsible work from someone like N. Chandra. according to the movie there is no one who is good or positive to the core. the nation is full of corruption, bribery, extortion, molestations, harassment and all other negativities. in-fact the only person who was positive about the country, sameer ali, a muslim citizen of the nation, also turned into a person who has no hope from the country. in the end, he gives a statement to his wife that" agar tum chaaho to hum U.S. shift ho jaayenge..." and when his wife was shot by the gangster, who again was a muslim, he beats him to death and then starts crying...and a male voice over says "JISNE IS DAUR K INSAAN BANAAYE HAIN WO MERA BHI KHUDA HO YE MUJHE MANZOOR NAHI..." finally even he starts believing the same thing jisko wo poori movie me neglect kar raha tha.

the portrait of the nation in this movie is like that, this is just a useless country with no hopes what-so-ever...even the first voice overs are like "jis desh me hindu muslim se nafrat karta hai, gareeb ameer se nafrat karta hai, car waala auto waale se, badi jaat waale chhoti jaat waale se nafrat karta hai, agar wo desh tarakki kar raha hai to ye bhagwaan ki hi maaya hai"

the movie shows a guy whose car was stolen, he starts scribbling something on a public wall and the public starts clapping, a female BPO employee is being molested by the owner in front of all the employees and they keep on clapping for her birthday cake cutting ritual. now, which kind of a BPO company is this and where on earth is it...?

this kind of a portrayal of the nation is a completely pessimistic approach to the problems of the nation. a responsible citizen should neglect an irresponsible attempt in movie-making like this.

when somebody talks about the national problems and the short-comings in the system, the only film dialogue that come to my mind is "koi desh perfect nahi hota use perfect banana padta hai, army me jayenge, IAS banenge, politics join karenge..." from Rang De Basanti.

this is the only way to clean the system, and to put things right.

the responsibility lies on the shoulders of the youth, its not pointing out the problems that works, its the work done to eradicate the problems that works...

i would rather appreciate attempts like- the lead india campaign, movies like rang de basanti, where the characters at least take an action. its very different from the character in Y.M.I., the BPO employee, who keeps on yelling at her boyfriend to take the decisions of his life in his own, and at the same time she dares to do nothing against the BPO owner who molests her in front of all her colleagues (the only thing she dares to say is "you dog how dare you") and when her boyfriend says that he will kill that owner guy then her reply was " kis-kis ka muh band karoge". now this is a statement that shows that even she adjusts and does not dare to challenge the system and fight against her offender as it will destroy her comfort zone...

now, if you dare not shout against the system, you have no rights to complain about the system...

people who crib and cry can never bring about a reform...

the movie only shows this bunch of people who keep on cribbing and crying and completely ignores the lot who have the ability, enthusiasm and daring to initiate change...

i hope all my readers belong to the second lot, as this lot is the one who has proud for the nation. and anyone who has proud for the nation should ignore and reject a defaming movie as Y.M.I.

have a gr8 time...
good nite...
