is this the real india-Y.M.I.

yesterday i watched the new movie- Y.M.I.-the much hyped movie that claimed to open the eyes of all Indians. was expecting a lot from the movie, but was dissappointed to the core of my heart. was expecting a better and more responsible work from someone like N. Chandra. according to the movie there is no one who is good or positive to the core. the nation is full of corruption, bribery, extortion, molestations, harassment and all other negativities. in-fact the only person who was positive about the country, sameer ali, a muslim citizen of the nation, also turned into a person who has no hope from the country. in the end, he gives a statement to his wife that" agar tum chaaho to hum U.S. shift ho jaayenge..." and when his wife was shot by the gangster, who again was a muslim, he beats him to death and then starts crying...and a male voice over says "JISNE IS DAUR K INSAAN BANAAYE HAIN WO MERA BHI KHUDA HO YE MUJHE MANZOOR NAHI..." finally even he starts believing the same thing jisko wo poori movie me neglect kar raha tha.

the portrait of the nation in this movie is like that, this is just a useless country with no hopes what-so-ever...even the first voice overs are like "jis desh me hindu muslim se nafrat karta hai, gareeb ameer se nafrat karta hai, car waala auto waale se, badi jaat waale chhoti jaat waale se nafrat karta hai, agar wo desh tarakki kar raha hai to ye bhagwaan ki hi maaya hai"

the movie shows a guy whose car was stolen, he starts scribbling something on a public wall and the public starts clapping, a female BPO employee is being molested by the owner in front of all the employees and they keep on clapping for her birthday cake cutting ritual. now, which kind of a BPO company is this and where on earth is it...?

this kind of a portrayal of the nation is a completely pessimistic approach to the problems of the nation. a responsible citizen should neglect an irresponsible attempt in movie-making like this.

when somebody talks about the national problems and the short-comings in the system, the only film dialogue that come to my mind is "koi desh perfect nahi hota use perfect banana padta hai, army me jayenge, IAS banenge, politics join karenge..." from Rang De Basanti.

this is the only way to clean the system, and to put things right.

the responsibility lies on the shoulders of the youth, its not pointing out the problems that works, its the work done to eradicate the problems that works...

i would rather appreciate attempts like- the lead india campaign, movies like rang de basanti, where the characters at least take an action. its very different from the character in Y.M.I., the BPO employee, who keeps on yelling at her boyfriend to take the decisions of his life in his own, and at the same time she dares to do nothing against the BPO owner who molests her in front of all her colleagues (the only thing she dares to say is "you dog how dare you") and when her boyfriend says that he will kill that owner guy then her reply was " kis-kis ka muh band karoge". now this is a statement that shows that even she adjusts and does not dare to challenge the system and fight against her offender as it will destroy her comfort zone...

now, if you dare not shout against the system, you have no rights to complain about the system...

people who crib and cry can never bring about a reform...

the movie only shows this bunch of people who keep on cribbing and crying and completely ignores the lot who have the ability, enthusiasm and daring to initiate change...

i hope all my readers belong to the second lot, as this lot is the one who has proud for the nation. and anyone who has proud for the nation should ignore and reject a defaming movie as Y.M.I.

have a gr8 time...
good nite...
with love and regards
